Lying Down...

This was created while lying down using my tablet pc in Photoshop CS/2. There is also an interesting article connecting lying down and creativity HERE.

Still Searching

More Sketchbook Pro 2010. I love the line quality you can get with this program. I like the little guy at the top...going to develop him further.

Gelidus

This is my first attempt at using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 2010. I think i'm still too used to the iPhone version. But I totally see the potential of this program. Text added in Photoshop.

Magic Fingers

A study of Vladimir Horowitz this time. I always loved seeing him on PBS when I was growing up. He inspired me to practice the piano more, but I quickly realized I didn't have the magic fingers. :(

Flickr Study

Portrait study based on a photo found on Flickr. It came out very androgynous but I'm glad I did something fun tonight.

Coming Back

A lot has happened since the last post. There was a trip to France. Very close loved ones passed away. Once again, I bought a ton of art books for inspiration. And there really is no excuse for neglecting this art blog for so long. I thank those of you who still check up on me now and then on this site. I sincerely hope there will be many posts in 2009 from me. :)

The image above was finished in Photoshop CS/2 but was actually started on my iPhone using Brushes and a Pogo Sketch stylus. The iPhone generated image is shown below:

Fresh Ones

The image below was done for our church spring retreat booklet. We had a cowboy theme since it was at a ranch in San Juan Capistrano. You need to imagine the imaged folded in half with the right side as the front and the left side as the back. Done using 60% Photoshop, 30% Painter and 10% Illustrator.

And here are some caricature studies from yesterday and today. The first one was done on a Gateway Tablet PC and the second was done on a Cintiq...all PhotoShop. :)
